Mayor Sarno Thanks Smith & Wesson and Eastman Chemical Company for their Donations of PPE’s

Springfield, MA – Mayor Domenic J. Sarno continues to thank our Springfield business community for stepping up and providing much-needed PPE’s for our police, fire and frontline personnel.

Smith & Wesson continues to answer the Mayor’s call for additional PPE’s for the city’s first responders.  Today, Smith and Wesson donated an additional 300 face shields for our Springfield Police and Fire Departments, and our Health Department for homeless medical operations.  These face shields are being produced at Smith & Wesson’s Springfield facility using their 3D Printers.

In addition, Springfield native Tony Cignoli contacted the Mayor’s Office on behalf of the Eastman Chemical Company to offer 4,400 Nitrile Gloves and 180 N95 Masks for our police, fire and frontline personnel to help protect them against the spread of the coronavirus.

Mayor Sarno states, “Once again the private sector steps up.  I am so thankful for this continued aid from Smith & Wesson and Eastman for our brave and dedicated SPD, SFD and Health Department personnel.”
