MARCH MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Good morning,

Thank to all who joined us last week at OUTLOOK 2024! I sincerely appreciate the remarkable turnout with our collective energy and enthusiasm highlighting the unity and synergy within our community. It was eye-opening to hear about the current state of and economic forecast for our region from keynote speaker Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll and other leaders.

In this spirit of shared commitment to community well-being, The Springfield Regional Chamber is proud to partner with the Greater Westfield, Greater Holyoke, West of the River, ERC5/East of the River, and Greater Chicopee Chambers of Commerce to address the pressing issue of food insecurity in our region. Together, we will co-host the Fill the Food Bank event on March 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. This collaborative effort underscores our shared dedication to our neighbors facing food insecurity.

As we continue fostering a spirit of collaboration, I am excited to announce the upcoming Rise & Shine – How It’s Made Western Mass event on April 11th where we will highlight manufacturing in our region. Your participation will contribute to the event’s success, and I encourage you to join us in celebrating this sector’s impact.

Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for our Annual Mayor’s Forum on April 26th to take the opportunity to engage with our local leaders who will provide insights into our community’s challenges and opportunities.  We look forward to welcoming back Dave Madsen as our emcee whose skillful questions will help us get to know our local mayors on a personal level.

As always, it is heartening to witness our community’s partnership and commitment to creating a better tomorrow for everyone in the Greater Springfield area. Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Best regards,

Diana
