April Message from the President

Message from the President

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Fill the Food Bank, partnering with Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce, Greater Holyoke Chamber, West of the River Chamber, ERC5/East of the River Chamber of Commerce, and Greater Chicopee Chamber of Commerce to address the pressing issue of food insecurity in our region. Together, we collected 1,420 pounds of food for Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen, providing 1,183 meals. Talk about a successful & fun event!

On the heels of an eventful March, even more great events are on top this month! April 11th is our last Rise & Shine for the event season. This Rise & Shine “How-It’s-Made in Western Mass” highlighting Excel DryerMillennium Press celebrates the manufacturing world in our backyard.

On April 18th, we are proud to partner with the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) and MassHire Bizworks to present a FREE workshop: Creating Successful Workforce Development Pathways. Highlighting CORI training and the WFD/Reentry Resources Panel which will feature multi-disciplinary staff from the Department of Correction and EOPSS.

Furthermore, mark your calendars for April 26th as we gear up for the much-anticipated Mayor’s Forum. This event presents a unique platform for meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and exchange of ideas between our local mayors. Together, we will explore innovative solutions to the challenges facing our cities and pave the way for a brighter future.

The events don’t stop there! Mark your calendars for our annual Fire & Ice on May 23rd. Experience an evening of networking as we gather to enjoy cocktails crafted by our members and delectable food pairings expertly curated by the Springfield Marriott team.

As always, witnessing our community’s partnership and commitment to creating a better tomorrow for everyone in the Greater Springfield area is heartening. Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Warm regards,

Diana
