An Elegant Fundraiser at the Springfield Museums Josh Simpson and Cady Coleman Guests of Honor

An Evening with the Stars

Josh Simpson & Cady Coleman

November 10 @ 5:30 pm–8:30 pm

Cost: $100; free for Society of William Rice Members

Springfield (MA)—The Springfield Museums present an elegant, star-sparkling evening with Josh Simpson and Cady Coleman Thursday, November 10, 5:30—8:30 pm. Held in conjunction with the exhibit Josh Simpson: Visionary Explorations in Glass, An Evening with the Stars is fundraiser to benefit the Museums. Both a silent and a live auction will give guests opportunities to bid on unique Josh Simpson pieces generously donated by Katie and Jonathan Oakleaf.

“Many of these pieces are no longer on the market,” said Kay Simpson, President and CEO of the Springfield Museums. “This is a rare opportunity to take home a unique work of art.”

The live auction, facilitated by Sally Fuller, includes an exclusive private tour of the Josh Simpson: Visionary Explorations in Glass exhibit, led by the artist, followed by  reception for a group of friends.  Another item is a private tour of Josh Simpson’s hot shop in Shelburne Falls, for a maximum of five people. “There will also be an art piece of Josh’s choice,” said Emilie Czupryna, Director of Development. “Something with a story to tell!”

Visitors can view the 50-year retrospective exhibition, enjoy a presentation by the guests of honor, pose for celestial photo-op, and mix and mingle in the galleries with hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails inspired by Josh and Cady’s favorite drinks.

“After more than two year of not being able to offer in-person receptions,” Simpson said, “This event is our come back and we are pulling out all the stops to celebrate the dazzling art work of Josh Simpson!”
