Western New England University Excels in U.S. News & World Report 2024 Best Colleges Rankings

SPRINGFIELD, MA: — Western New England University (WNE) proudly announces its exceptional performance in the  U.S. News & World Report 2024 Best Colleges rankings, further establishing its position as a leading institution nationally. In the Overall Rank National Universities category, WNE secured an impressive position at #236, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in higher education.

This year’s rankings also underscore WNE’s commitment to providing accessible and quality education to a diverse student population, with the university consistently performing well in the Top Performers on Social Mobility category, maintaining its position at #207.

However, the spotlight of this year’s rankings falls squarely on WNE’s College of Engineering — a top 100 Best Undergraduate Engineering Program in the nation. The WNE Undergraduate Engineering program proudly maintained its impressive position at #86. This accomplishment is a testament to the consistent high-quality education and faculty expertise provided at WNE’s College of Engineering.

The College serves as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship offering opportunities for students to participate in team-based projects, presentations, and undergraduate research in state-of-the-art facilities, preparing them for leadership roles across various industries. The institution offers undergraduate and graduate programs in various engineering disciplines, including construction management, biochemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering. With 93 sites for internships, a remarkable 100% internship placement rate, and 98% of 2020 graduates securing employment within six months of graduation, WNE is dedicated to ensuring its graduates are well-prepared for the workforce.
