The Springfield Regional Chamber Hosts Webinar to Help Employers Prepare for COVID Vaccine Mandate
SPRINGFIELD, Mass – September 22, 2021 – The Springfield Regional Chamber (SRC) will host an informative webinar to help employers prepare for the forthcoming COVID-19 vaccine mandate that was issued by President Joseph R. Biden Jr. in early September. The new mandate will require workers at companies with 100 or more employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine or undergo weekly testing.
The webinar, on October 7 from 10 – 11 a.m., will feature a presentation and question and answer session by Mark Adams, director of compliance for Employers Association of the Northeast (EANE). Adams will address the preparation needed for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rule, how to develop and implement policies, track compliance, and more, including how the mandate might impact businesses of smaller sizes.
Adams currently co-leads EANE’s Human Resource Services team, providing services to member companies and directing programs for affirmative action, background checking, and data surveys. Additionally, Mark guides high level professionals on issues such as drug testing, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) versus independent contractor laws. He is the primary editor and author of EANE’s e-alerts, keeping members updated about pending legal and regulatory developments critical to the workplace.
