Tapestry, Baystate Health and Westfield State University Collaborate to Host Say It Nicer Movie Premiere and Panel Event

Springfield, MATapestry, Baystate Health and Westfield State University to collaborate for the premiere of Tapestry’s film Say It Nicer, a documentary about harm reduction, love and art. The event will kick off Baystate’s Words Matter campaign on anti-stigma education and feature a full screening of the film followed by a panel discussion.

The art-filled documentary goes behind the scenes at Tapestry’s syringe service programs to look at the very misunderstood world of people who use drugs. Follow Tapestry’s Harm Reductionists around Western Massachusetts as they provide critical public health interventions and combat the stigma surrounding drug use by creating a mural inspiring hope.

“People tend to hate the individual and not the addiction. This is something at Tapestry we try to clarify for people – it’s okay to hate the addiction, but don’t hate the individual. This is why we try to show all this love and compassion” – Victor Colón, Tapestry Syringe Access Program Manager.

Join the free movie premiere and panel event Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 6pm EST.
