Monarch Place Invests in Disinfecting Air Purification Technology to kill 99.9% of the coronavirus.

Springfield – Paul Marcelina, Vice President at Operations of Monarch Place in downtown Springfield, is proud to say that the 25-story office tower is the first office towerin our area to introduce the Atmos Air purification system. Monarch Place invested tens of thousands of dollars in this new technology for their HVAC to actively remove any existing bacteria or viruses that may exist in the air.

During this operational hiatus, Monarch Place has made many improvements. Wehave performed research on the best technology to install and implemented systems that would thoroughly sanitize not only all surfaces and touch points, but also the air you breathe. The World Health Organization acknowledges evidence ”beyond any reasonable doubt viruses are released during exhalation, talking and coughing in microdroplets small enough to remain aloft in the air” It is for this reason we have taken a more stringent approach to our building air quality and sanitizing.

This includes new technology consisting of bi-polar ionization and air purification filters into all of our HVAC systems which will decontaminate 99.9% of circulatingair within the office building. This technology has been used in hospitals for yearsbut only until recently have transportation centers like Logan International Airport and the NYC subway system began to use this technology.

Monarch Place has always prided itself on providing the highest level ofcleanliness. Daily, we work side by side with our professional cleaning company toensure that we are adhering to all the C.D.C. and governmental guidelines including diligent disinfecting all common areas, lobbies, restrooms and elevatorsincluding the use of hospital grade electronic sprayers that mist Microbansanitizing sprays that eliminate 99.9 % of all bacteria and viruses.

We felt this substantial capital investment was necessary to ease the concerns ofour tenants who work at Monarch Place and their guests visit our complex, says Marcelina. We are now working with all tenants on reopening their offices andwe look forward to safely welcoming everyone back to our building.

Monarch Place is the newest office building in Springfield and consists of 25 floors of office space spanning over 400,000 square feet.
