MERCEDES-BENZ OF SPRINGFIELD TURNS 5!
Mercedes-Benz of Springfield marks 5th anniversary of the dealership on October 16, 2022.
Chicopee, MA, October 16, 2022– Mercedes-Benz of Springfield is 5 years old. Officially, the doors opened on October 16, 2017. Owners Michelle and Peter Wirth mark the milestone with a celebration with their team.
As you may recall, the ribbon cutting ceremony took place November 1, 2017 and the grand opening reception on December 1, 2017.
Time flies when you are having fun… While it may only be 5 years since we first opened our doors, we feel part of the fabric of the community we call home! We’ve introduced the brand to so many in Western Massachusetts who never dreamed they would one day drive a Mercedes-Benz AND given Mercedes-Benz loyalists in the Pioneer Valley a new home. –Peter Wirth
Humble beginnings
Mercedes-Benz of Springfield began as an idea about 6 years ago. If you passed by the building site two weeks before opening, you may not have considered opening day (Oct 16) a realistic endeavor.

As our Service Manager, Bill Phelan remembers…”The first customer drove into the service drive at 7:57 am for service opening day and the business has steadily grown since.” Mercedes-Benz of Springfield’s early and sustained success continues to validate MBUSA’s decision to put a point in the Pioneer Valley, despite the 11 year hiatus in having a local dealership, the numbers prove there are many local and aspiring Mercedes-Benz owners here.

Mercedes-Benz of Springfield is a full service authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer located at the end of 291, exit 51 on the Massachusetts Turnpike. The 37,000 square foot facility sells and services new and used Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicles (Sprinter and Metris). Built in 2017, the building is state of the art and built with sustainability in mind. We have solar panels on the roof and use waste oil from our vehicles to heat the facility.
