Mayor Sarno Thanks MGM Springfield for Donating Water to City Cooling Centers

Springfield, MA – Mayor Domenic J. Sarno thanked MGM Springfield for donating much needed water to the City of Springfield’s cooling centers.

 

Due to the recent heat advisory in effect, the City of Springfield opened cooling centers throughout the city to provide relief from the heat for residents.

 

Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank MGM Resorts International Northeast Regional President and COO Chris Kelley and his team for their generous donation of water to our city’s cooling centers.  Once again, our MGM Springfield has stepped up to assist our residents and I cannot thank them enough for their continued support, belief and investment in our Springfield.”

 

Water was delivered to the Springfield Department of Health and Human Services and will be distributed to the cooling centers throughout the city by Tony Pettaway, Director of Operations for the City of Springfield’s Department of Health and Human Services.
