Freedom Credit Union welcomes newly elected board member, Daniel Reigner

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.Freedom Credit Union recently announced the election of its newest board member, Daniel Reigner, a lieutenant with the Springfield Police Department.

With nearly three decades on the force, Reigner, a Springfield native who currently resides in Belchertown with his wife and children, currently serves as the Detective Bureau Supervisor for the Crimes Against Persons Unit. After earning an associate degree in criminal justice at Springfield Technical Community College, he went on to complete his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Curry College in Milton. He is a past recipient of the Springfield Police Department Commendation.

In addition, three board members were re-elected to the Freedom Credit Union Board of Directors: Louis Guillette, Chairman, of Northfield, MA; William Carey, Vice Chairman, of Springfield, MA; and Lawrence Bouley, Director, of Florence, MA.

“We are grateful to our board members who work so diligently to represent the interests of all our members,” said Freedom Credit Union President Glenn Welch. “As a cooperative institution owned by our depositors, we exist to help our members. Our board plays a vital role in guiding us forward, and we appreciate their insight and expertise.”

All Freedom Credit Union members ages 18 and above are invited to vote for the Board of Directors each year and are eligible to run for a position.
