Freedom Credit Union announces new Business Development Officer for its Cannabis Business Program

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. Freedom Credit Union has announced it recently welcomed Susan Crum, a resident of Westfield, as the Business Development Officer for its Cannabis Business Program. With three decades of banking experience, Crum became interested in partnering with cannabis entrepreneurs and spent time over the past year learning about the industry, including compliance, growing, processing and selling.

“Susan brings a unique skillset to her role with us,” said Freedom Credit Union President Glenn Welch.Her time spent as a community banker, combined with her relationship management experience and cannabis education, have provided her with a holistic understanding of the partnership between credit unions and cannabis businesses to safely manage their day-to-day financial needs.”
