Excel Dryer to host Congressman Richard Neal for a factory tour, press conference

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Excel Dryer, Inc., manufacturer of the original, patented, high-speed, energy-efficient XLERATOR® Hand Dryer, is welcoming U.S. Representative and Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) to tour the East Longmeadow manufacturing facility, tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6.

 

Schedule of events are as follows:

  • 11:00 a.m.  |  Factory tour –members of the media are invited to attend but are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing

 

  • 11:30 a.m.  |  Press conference conducted by the Congressman

 

On display and items to be discussed include Excel Dryer’s XLERATOR Hand Dryer with HEPA Filtration System recently proven to remove 99.999 percent of viruses from the airstream, and their new mobile hand hygiene station, created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in support of frontline workers at field sites and temporary facilities such as drive through testing sites. Congressman Neal and aide, William Tranghese, were involved in early discussions establishing Excel Dryer as an essential manufacturer, whose hand dryers play a critical role in achieving proper hand hygiene;  thoroughly washing and completely drying hands are listed as the top defense against the spread of germs, like Coronavirus and COVID-19 by both the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. With the help of the Congressman’s office, the mobile product came into being, and is now helping keep first responders safe at mobile testing sites, with future installations throughout the state and country planned in the coming months.

 

Excel has offered to donate one hundred XLERATORs with HEPA Filtration Systems to facilities across the state.
