Doherty Wallace Pillsbury and Murphy, P.C. Announces New Firm Shareholder, Associate

Springfield – Doherty, Wallace Pillsbury and Murphy, P.C. (DWPM) has announced the election of a new Shareholder of the firm, Rebecca M. Thibault. The firm also announced an addition to its team of Associates, Diana Day, who joined DWPM earlier this year.

 

Attorney Thibault joined Doherty, Wallace in 2013 and concentrates her practice on representing businesses large and small on corporate matters, including regulatory and compliance issues, transactions, real estate, environmental issues, and general contract needs. She also counsels independent and public educational institutions on matters ranging from employment, student discipline, internal and third-party investigations, policy review and development, and contract negotiation.

 

Thibault is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, where she was the managing editor of the Washington University Global Studies Law Review.

 

A native of Northampton, Thibault recently served on the board of Girls Inc. of The Valley. She supports various other nonprofit organizations through pro-bono and volunteer activities.

Diana Day joined DWPM earlier this year.  She has an extensive background in state and federal litigation on behalf of individuals, small businesses, Fortune 100 companies, and government agencies.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Day worked at a prestigious law firm in Phoenix, Arizona practicing business, insurance, and medical malpractice litigation.  She then served in the public sector as an attorney for both state and local governments, focusing on high-profile litigation involving elections and constitutional claims, public infrastructure projects, employment, personal injury, and wrongful death.  She also served in the general counsel role for a public pension system with over $40 billion in assets under management.

 

Attorney Day is a graduate of Arizona State University Barrett Honors College and the University of Arizona College of Law.  In June 2021, she was appointed to a three-year term of service on the City of Northampton Transportation and Parking Commission.
