AIC President’s Cup Golf Outing Benefits Students with More than $60,000 Raised in Support of Scholarships

SPRINGFIELD, MA – American International College (AIC) hosted the 14^th President’s Cup Golf Outing in June at Wintonbury Hills Golf Club in Bloomfield, CT. Sponsored by C&W Services and other friends and supporters of AIC’s mission, a record $63,573 was raised via participants and sponsorships, directly benefiting American International College scholarship programs, essential in the College’s support of students and future alumni.

Since the inaugural President’s Cup Golf Outing in 2007, the tournament has raised more than $600,000 toward scholarships for deserving AIC students. Nearly all of AIC’s undergraduate students receive financial aid from the College and other sources. Despite these resources, some students still struggle to pay for their education and graduate in a timely manner.

According to AIC President Hubert Benitez, DDS, PhD, “For many years, American International College has made a difference in the lives of students through education. Today, AIC continues to provide access to an education in an inclusive environment, providing a pathway for a diverse community of learners. The entire AIC family, in particular the students, deeply appreciates the sponsors and participants in the tournament. It is the students who continue to be the beneficiaries of this generosity through scholarship assistance, allowing them to continue their journey of achieving personal growth and professional success as they work their way toward graduation and set their course in life.”

Privately funded scholarships represent an investment in the future success of students who look to AIC for the opportunity to achieve a degree in a diverse and welcoming campus community and become productive members for the communities we serve. Many students who attend American International College are the first in their family to attend college. The success of the President’s Cup is a direct result of the enthusiastic involvement and generous support from AIC alumni, friends, vendors, and partners.
