2022 Springfield Regional Chamber Leadership Institute Now Open for Applications

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Jan. 20, 2022 — For over 40 years, the Springfield Regional Chamber’s (SRC)Leadership Institute has helped mid- and upper-level managers grow their skills to bring their careers, organizations, and communities to the next level. SRC will once again hold the unique professional development program from February through May 2021.

Facilitated by Western New England University faculty, SRC’s Leadership Institute program features a series of six workshops that will guide managers through a range of evidence-based tools and frameworks that can be immediately applied in leadership practices. Sessions will focus on managerial leadership, emotional intelligence and self-awareness, communication skills, building high performance teams, and conflict mitigation. Participants will actively explore managerial best practices; analyze their own leadership, learning, and problem-solving styles; and experience the synergies that result from high performing teams. Peer coaching opportunities will help attendees solidify lessons with hands-on experience.

“This program is made especially for aspiring managers, new managers, and professionals looking to achieve more,” said Nancy Creed, Springfield Regional Chamber President. “Between technological advancements, economic shifts, and global events, business in Western Massachusetts is always changing, and the Leadership Institute is invaluable for staying ahead of the curve.”

This program is comprised of 13 lessons, team meetings, and presentations that will be held virtually in one- or two-hour sessions. Attendees who complete the Leadership Institute will also receive a free graduate course offered through the College of Business at Western New England University.

Scholarship support for participants from eligible nonprofit organizations is provided by the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation.
